30 weeks and counting...busy, busy!

So - I'm coming up on my 30th week this Saturday and my how time is flying by!
We are going to get to see baby Kaz in 3D on Thursday, I'm getting very excited about that:)
Showers are coming up next month and I'm looking forward to them considering I don't have the first diaper or wipe! I got to give a shower for one of my good friends Karie a couple of weeks ago. It was nice getting into the baby spirit:) The nursery is pretty much complete now, with full bedding and decor. There are just a couple little additions I would like to make before July 2nd. My baby applications on my phone that tell me what is happening with "baby" and "me" are starting to freak me out just a bit...mentioning how close it is to "labor and delivery". I just pray it is smooth!

Great Expectations!

We attended a class Tuesday night at Central Baptist called Great Expectations. This class was interesting to say the least:) We got the low-down on everything from the beginning of the first contraction and water breaking to post birth. The speaker was very spunky, which helped me stay focused and positive, but most of all kept Preston awake;)
After being bombarded with a ton of new info. and having somewhat of a game plan of how things should go and "what to expect", it really made me have even more questions!
When will I go into labor? How will I know? Will it take forever to bring baby Kaz into the world? What will he look like? Will Preston pass out?
I guess we will just have to be patient and wait for God's timing and trust in Him to take care of it all.

Visit to the Sztanyo's

We had a great time this weekend in Cincinnati, just getting away for a quick visit and some relaxation with my cousin Wit, her husband Eric, and their new baby boy Emil. It was so great catching up, sharing stories, and spending some quality time together. Eric and Preston have the common interest of music and ministry so they managed to entertain themselves, while me and Wit discussed baby stuff and she gave me the 411 of parenthood. Emil was awesome during our visit, he is right at 6 months now....such a great baby. It was cool getting a little baby practice while we were there:)

Nursery....and more!

We just got the last piece of furniture in the room today....things are moving along! Now, with the walls painted, and the furniture in place, I am just waiting on the bedding to be finished, a few decorative details to add to the walls, and some color to sprinkle through the room. I have also been working on a blanket for Kaz (since I'm not very domestic I thought it would be even more meaningful:). I finished the front part today over at mom's on the sewing machine and hope to have it completed by the end of next week. Can't wait to see the final product and if it's good enough I might even post some pics to share...
The days are going by super fast! July 2nd will be here before we know it. I am 23 weeks and 1 day today:)

20 Weeks!

The halfway point was crossed this Saturday and Preston and I celebrated an early Valentines day by treating ourselves to a couples massage at Baby Belly with chocolates and sparkling grape juice. We finished the night off with a meal at Chili's and some Starbuck's. Today was the big 20 week checkup...plus Valentine's Day:) What an amazing day! More than anything we are so thankful to have a healthy baby boy growing. And yes, it's confirmed, he's a BOY. We got to see his heart, brain, legs, feet, arms, hands,....it was just all so miraculous and really does make you wonder how anyone could deny the existence of our God. After our doctor shared with us that everything checked out well, an automatic weight was lifted and I was reminded quickly that God is in control and he will bless us. After finishing with the long-awaited appointment, we made a stop at Rafferty's for dinner (mainly for the crescents:) and then headed home to finish up the cupcakes that Preston had baked for me as a little surprise Valentine treat.

Zumba Baby!

Just got home from shakin' it at Zumba with the girls:) I think Kaz was dancing in my belly....I felt some kicks and punches!
Between pre-natal yoga, walking, and Zumba I hope I can keep this body in shape.
Last time I went to the doctor for my 15 week check-up, I was told I needed to slow down on the weight gain...so I'm trying! I go back to the Doc for my next appointment in a week, so I'm going to work extra hard this week to eat healthy and exercise (If only the weather would cooperate). Looks like I won't be getting outside tomorrow for an afternoon stroll. Doubt we'll even have school...guess it's not all bad:)
