Wonderful Christmas 2012

Our Christmas journey of 2012 has finally ended...so I thought I would stop and share some pictures and highlights of our wonderful time with family and friends.

After our early Christmas celebration in Tennessee...we geared up for the big event again (x3)!

Here's Kaz putting his early present to good use - thanks Aunt Vic & Uncle Matt

Now on to Christmas Eve and Christmas morning at Mom's -

Kaz made sure to leave Santa milk and cookies to greet him during his stop...

Robert & I finished opening all the doors...
Kaz racked up this year...here he was drinking milk and checking out his stash from afar:)

He didn't want to put this down all day!

Next stop - The Clay's... Kaz took a break for brunch and some channel surfing before opening gifts.

Finally, we got to visit Pops and Mimi in Lville for more time with family, yummy food, and opening gifts.

Uncle Chas liked Kaz's guitar

We now find ourselves wrapping up another great year with a growing boy, wonderful family and friends, and so much to be thankful for. Looking forward to all that's in store for 2013!

Annual Tennessee Christmas!

It has been a tradition for quite some time now...
We pack up and head south to Tennessee for our first Christmas celebration of the season.

There's nothing like a couple of days in the mountains!
Especially when you spend it with family:)

Kaz was especially fond of his Papaw Zee this trip. He didn't want anyone else but "Zee" to hold him:)

Of course he was showered with gifts...so much so that we couldn't even fit them all in our car - We had to have some help from Papaw and Sha Sha.

Kaz has been busy practicing riding his new four-wheeler and modeling his new clothes;)

Christmas, here we come!

Anticipating the holiday!

Kaz made his first trip to the Southern Lights tonight...

We got a family picture with Santa since Kaz wasn't quite as fond of the man in the red suit with the white beard this year;)

Kaz brought along his friend Griffin for the adventure of checking out the lights and seeing the model trains.

Now, we wait.....

We wait to celebrate Jesus birth!

Thanksgiving 2012

Thanksgiving, another busy holiday...

We started in Carollton with my dad's family for food and time with family. Kaz got to spend some much needed time with his cousin Emil and new cousin Corin!

Next we stopped into my mom's for dinner... Kaz had fun singing and playing with his Guigui and Papaw Zee.

Then a stop at the Clay's for dessert:)

It's starting to look a lot like Christmas around our place...with red and green surrounding us! Looking forward to Christmas with Kazer this year... 25 days and counting!

Thankful in November!

I always wanted to participate in the all popular, being thankful every day in November. I just felt like I would be able to show my "thankfulness" in it's entirety by completing it all in one post.

Day 1: I couldn't be more thankful for God choosing me to be one of His. To be blessed with faith, hope, and love from above - I am truly thankful. I do continue to yearn to know Him more and look forward to the things not of this world, but beyond.

Day 2: I am thankful for my family and love being a wife and mommy, living in a cozy home with 2 amazing boys!

Day 3: I'm thankful that I have a sweet miracle boy - being able to pick him up, carry him around, and take him wherever I want without asking (after being a NICU survivor this is not taken for granted:)

Day 4: I'm thankful for my job - and knowing that I am doing what God created me to do!

One of my students made this for me...
Day 5: I love Hot Maple Toddy candles and am so thankful that someone created that amazing concoction!

Day 6: I'm fortunate to be a part of another business called Nerium that has been such a financial blessing to our family as well as started long-lasting relationships with so many great people.

Day 7: I'm thankful to have started this blog even before Kaz was born. It's so nice to be able to look back at all the memories documented and crazy to see how quickly life rolls by...

Day 8: So thankful to have a husband that still rubs my feet and plays with my hair after almost 4 years of marriage;) Not to mention, I am still smitten over him...(just don't tell him;)

Day 9: I'm very thankful that Kaz has a little buddy named Griffin that he gets to grow up with....it's so cool to see them take in life together:)

Day 10: Pinterest gives me ideas for party decor, new meals, and holiday crafts...and for that, I am truly grateful;)
Speaking of...the "Jesse Ornaments" I'm working on for Christmas!
Day 11: I'm thankful to have a mother that continues to invest in me daily, who takes care of not only me, but also my little boy...who happens to adore his "Sha Sha".

Day 12: I'm lucky to have a BF that not only takes care of my hair...but is also there to help and support me in whatever life throws my way:) Not to mention, she's hung in there for over 15 years dealing with me! Always...Love you Shan!

Day 13: Quite vain, I know...but I am thankful for my iPhone! One main reason is being able to FaceTime and see my little man whenever I want;) I do appreciate the norm - i.e. FB, Pinterest...:)

Day 14: I'm very thankful for Kaz's stroller (thank you Chico)...especially since he is around 30 lbs. He is quite a load to carry;)

Day 15: Couldn't survive without Diet Mtn Dew - I know, not the healthiest choice!

Day 16: I'm so grateful to have such a kind, strong, and caring father! He has always been a constant in my life and continues to take care of me even though I'm not quite that little anymore... He also adores Kaz as much as Kaz adores him:)

Day 17: I am very thankful for pictures. I love being able to look back on events and reflect on those memories captured.

Day 18: Thankful for wonderful in-laws and family that support us...

Day 19: Greatful for the NICU - the place and individuals that took care of Kaz for over a month at the beginning of his life and our surprise start to parenthood.

Day 20: I never thought I would say this (considering the torment he use to put me through growing up together), but in my older years...I am so very thankful for my brother, Robert. He has taught me so much about what really matters in life. He is a blessing to everyone he meets. I find myself being called "Robert's sister":)

Day 21: Thankful for those special friends - close, far, and wide...

Day 22: Finally, I'm thankful for a loving family. That has raised me to believe in myself, introduced me to Christ, and supports me always!
