Kaz Clay is here!

As many of you may know, Preston and I had a wonderful surprise arrive a little early. Our son Kaz Preston Clay was born Friday, May 6th @ 7:03pm. He entered the world 2 months early at a whopping 4lbs. 14oz. and 17 1/2 inches long.
He was placed in the NICU at the hospital immediately after being delivered through emergency c-section. Every day Kaz shows major improvements. He started out on a CPAP, which helped with his breathing. He was hooked up to numerous machines which monitored his heart rate, oxygen levels, etc. He also spent some time under lights for jaundice.
I'm so thankful that God's hand has been over us through this entire time...as we watch our baby boy get closer to coming home every day. He is now only hooked up to one monitor which tracks his heart rate and also has a feeding tube, which we use for most of his feedings to help conserve calories so that he can pack on the pounds and be strong before his trip home. He takes one bottle feeding a day right now and seems to be doing great.
We are looking at another couple of weeks before he will be able to come home with us...we can't wait! We appreciate all the prayers and are so thankful for the support that has helped us get through this challenging, yet extremely blessed time.
